Pool Fatality: Rochester Hills Man Found Drowning at Rochester Estates Tuesday Night

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is awaiting autopsy results in the man's death.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is awaiting autopsy results following the death of a Rochester Hills man who was found drowning in a swimming pool at the  on July 10.

Deputies were dispatched to the area after receiving a report of a possible drowning at the clubhouse. When they arrived on the scene, the pool attendant was already performing CPR on the 43-year-old victim. Emergency personnel from the then took over.

According to the attendant, a witness had seen the man floating at the bottom of the pool. Bystanders had assisted in pulling him from the water and performing CPR.

The Rochester Estates pool is considered a community facility, and no lifeguard was on duty at the time of the drowning.

The victim was transported to Beaumont Hospital of Troy where he was pronounced dead.

According to Lt. Steve Jacobs, the investigation is still ongoing and the man’s name is not being released at this time.
