Police: Woman Injures Husband With Knife in Self-Defense

The following information was provided by the Oakland County Sheriff's Office. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Troy Police responded early Monday to Troy Beaumont Hospital for a report of a 33-year-old Rochester Hills man seeking treatment for a knife wound, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.

According to sheriff's officials, the man was evasive with Troy officers, but acknowledged his injury was sustained at his home on the 1700 block of Lyric in Rochester Hills.

Troy police asked Oakland County Sheriff's units to check on the home, where the 32-year-old wife of the hospitalized man told deputies she was physically assaulted by her husband and she admitted cutting him in self-defense. A knife was recovered from the scene, sheriff's officials indicated.
