Detectives Investigating Sexual Assault in Rochester Hills

Detectives from the Oakland County Sheriff's Office are continuing to investigate a report of sexual assault that occurred early Thursday at an apartment complex at the 100 block of Woodview Court, according to Sheriff's officials.

A woman at the residence told deputies she was asleep on her sofa when she woke up to find a man standing over her. She told deputies the man forced her to perform a sex act and asked her to not call the police, before leaving the scene on foot.

Police dogs tracked the man for about 100 yards before losing his scent, Sheriff's officials indicated. 

The man was able to gain entry into the apartment through an unlocked sliding-glass door. 

Detectives from the Rochester Hills substation will continue to investigate the incident.
