There was a similar exhibit in the Rochester area two years ago. The pictures are sealed copies on board mounted on very sturdy posts. Yes, they can be mutilated by paint and perhaps a knife, but they are quite sturdy. This program is in its third year, so the DIA has a good take on how to handle these.

ReplyGreat coffee - no doubt. And the pastry is delicious too. In the summer, they have the absolute best iced coffee for miles around.

ReplyGreat article, Tiffany (as always). The photos are terrific - so many new ones. You bring the history of the area so alive.
People can see a pair of the long skis at the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm. And they were long. Imagine climbing all the way up the hill and slide with those things on your shoulder.

ReplyThe staff at the Rochester Hills Museum spent many hours working on the interactive exhibit and it is state-of-the-art. Visitors to their Old Fashioned

ReplyThe folks who came were upbeat and great supporters of the Festival. We were damp and chilly, but the smiles of those who came warmed us up. Taking admissions is a great way to appreciate the friends of the Festival and of the Museum. And rain once every 6 years isn't really all so horrible, maybe?

ReplyThanks for the great article on what I feel is one of the most community friendly, and unique, events in the area. I have only missed taking admissions at one Pumpkin Festival, the year it rained so hard we had to stop our trip home from the East Coast because we couldn't see the road to drive. I'll be the one in the mouse ears - say hello, and plan to have a truly magical experience.

ReplyI certainly hope that this move works for them. I love their coffee, but don't get there as often as I would like.

Kristin, Thank you for bring Patch to the greater Rochester area. And best of luck at Crain's. And you'll still be in the area (I assume) - so we aren't losing you totally.
