Want to Win Tickets to the World Series?

This Friday, visit Meijer in Shelby Township for a chance to win a pair of tickets to see the Detroit Tigers in the World Series.

Couldn't get tickets for the World Series? No worries, there's still hope. Meijer is teaming up with Major League Baseball to give away a pair of free tickets to the 2012 MLB World Series Friday. Just show up to the Detroit Tigers Tailgate Pep Rally celebration from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Meijer in Shelby Township, located at 15055 Hall Rd, for a chance to win. In celebration of the World Series, Meijer customers are invited to enjoy free hot dogs, games, giveaways, and prizes that include Detroit Tigers officially authenticated game-used items. Tigers’ Justin Verlander and Supermodel Kate Upton Spotted at Shelby Bar

Rumors of Tigers' Justin Verlander and Supermodel Kate Upton's budding romance continues to spread after the two were spotted together at Coyote Joe's on Thursday, according to CBS Detroit.

Employees at Coyote Joe's confirmed to CBS Detroit that Tigers' pitcher Justin Verlander was spotted with supermodel Kate Upton Thursday at the Shelby Township bar on 22 Mile and Ryan roads. The article states that the two looked "very chummy" and were "hanging all over each other" at Coyote Joe's after attending an Aerosmith concert earlier that evening, CBS Detroit reported. The spotting has fueled rumors—and lots of talk on sports radio—that the two may be dating after Upton, a Michigan native, was also seen dancing at a Tigers game in Verlander's suite at Comerica Park Friday. Fans Cheer as Tigers Bring Winter Caravan to Rochester Hills (With Video)

Baseball team's two-day tour stopped at Walton Boulevard McDonald's and Oakland University this afternoon.

About 250 fans excited for the warmer days of baseball gathered at Oakland University's O'Rena this afternoon as the Tigers Winter Caravan brought players to town. The OU dance team, cheerleaders and pep band rallied the crowd as Tigers mascot Paws and a crew of players marched in shortly before 2 p.m. today. At the nearby McDonald's on Walton Boulevard, players Magglio Ordonez and Jose Valverde worked the drive-thru as fans cheered. The two stops in Rochester Hills were part of the team's two-day tour of the state.
