Meet Oakland County's New Animal Control Manager
Robert Gatt will manage the largest public animal shelter in the county.
After nearly a decade under the leadership of Larry Obrecht, Oakland County is turning to an established law enforcement veteran to run the county's animal control operations. Robert Gatt, the mayor of Novi, was recently tapped by Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson to take over for the retired Obrecht, who became the manager of the Oakland County Pet Adoption/Animal Control Shelter in 2003, according to a news release.
