The appointment follows the Hugger community's pleas with school leaders to name a principal as soon as possible.
An assistant principal at West Middle School will serve as interim principal at Hugger Elementary School this school year. The appointment was announced in an email to parents on Wednesday afternoon and follows a mixup in the hiring of a permanent principal at Hugger earlier this year.
