Where to Get Your Girl Scout Cookie Fix

It's that time of year again—get out your wallets and get ready to snack on some of your favorite sweet treats, courtesy of the Girl Scouts of America.

It's time to stock up on your favorite Girl Scout cookies, and Rochester Patch plans to make it deliciously easy for you. West Assistant Principal Named Interim Leader of Hugger School

The appointment follows the Hugger community's pleas with school leaders to name a principal as soon as possible.

An assistant principal at West Middle School will serve as interim principal at Hugger Elementary School this school year. The appointment was announced in an email to parents on Wednesday afternoon and follows a mixup in the hiring of a permanent principal at Hugger earlier this year.  (Read "A School Principal Can't Supervise a Family Member, Rochester Board Says.") Donald Maskill, who has been at West for 14 years, will serve as interim principal at Hugger. Wendy Darga, an intern assistant principal at Hart Middle School, will serve as the interim assistant principal at West for the 2012-13 school year.  Maskill's appointment as interim leader of Hugger fills a vacancy left by Debi Fragomeni, who was named Pre-K through 7th Grade …

A School Principal Can't Supervise a Family Member, Rochester Board Says

Hugger Elementary community asks school leaders to reconsider the policy and allow the "best person" for the job.

Should a school principal be allowed to supervise an immediate family member? And should "immediate family member" include in-laws?  Those were the questions asked this week by members of one Rochester elementary school community — and, in turn, answered by Board of Education members, who opted to uphold the school district's longstanding policy that says one "in-law" should not supervise another. It's three weeks before the first day of school, and Hugger Elementary School is without a principal. The vacancy happened earlier this summer, when Principal Debi Fragomeni was named Pre-K through 7th Grade Curriculum Director for the district. Hugger Students Perform National Anthem

They braved the cold air to perform for veterans.
