Haig’s of Rochester Fine Jewelry & Objects of Art in downtown Rochester is one of five Detroit-area businesses selected to participate in the Community Fabergé Chalk Art Project offered by the Detroit Institute of Arts. As part of the project, Haig's will display a large chalk drawing of an Imperial-style egg in its window. The local art initiative includes lectures, family programs, films and musical performances that coincide with DIA’s exhibition, Fabergé: The Rise and Fall: The Collection of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. The exhibit is on display through Jan. 21.
