Angela Butorac and her crafty friend, Susan Keels, recently tried their hands at a natural egg-dying process that involves using everything from coffee and tea to saffron powder and wine. Going “kit-free,” Butorac and Keels turned out a basketful of inspiring, inventive eggs, many of which feature an antiquated, rustic appeal. The Easter Bunny comes to Rochester Hills this weekend. He'll be welcoming families in the gazebo at the Village of Rochester Hills starting at 11 a.m. Saturday; you can view his full schedule here. The Village is offering to open the bunny's Easter palace a half-hour early to a lucky Rochester Patch reader and their family. The winner will be able to visit the bunny before the lineup begins — and without the pressure of a crowd of families waiting their turn.
