Daffodils for Dinosaurs is the nature center's largest fundraiser.

Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve hosts popular event that sets up stages along a trail in the woods.
If you're a middle schooler or a high schooler with a flair for the dramatic (and slightly spooky), Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve needs you. Dinosaur Hill is inviting students to work with its drama coach and be part of its Master Class that produces original skits for its popular "Halloween Hoot" event. The event is Oct. 21, 22 and 23 and invites families to walk the nature center's trails and stop at several stations in the woods where the kids will perform Halloween-themed skits. Hundreds of Rochester-area families will view the performances. The Drama Club, for kids ages 8 to 11, is almost full. But Dinosaur Hill is still searching for kids ages 12 and up to perform. The group will delve into the art of stagecraft from start to finish …

The daffodils we purchase through our office are sent to the area nursing homes as a bit of spring-The residents and staff love them. The daffodils I purchase are for neighbors, friends and our own enjoyment. This is one Rochester tradition that gives back in a few ways-it also helps stir excitement for gardens, yards, parks, and walks. It's a great way to help Dinosaur Hill and enjoy some …   more ›
