A 20-year-old Clarkston woman who walked out into oncoming traffic at the intersection of Main and University streets in downtown Rochester early Friday morning was cited by Rochester Police officers for being intoxicated. According to a police report, vehicles had to stop quickly at 3:46 a.m. to avoid hitting the woman, who was issued violations for being a minor in possession and for giving a false name to police officers. She was held at the police station until she was sober enough to be released, according to the report. On Wednesday morning, the principal of Van Hoosen Middle School reported two broken windows at the school. "It appeared that the windows may have been shot by some sort of pellet gun," read the sheriff's office report. According to the principal, the windows cost $300 each to replace, the report said. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time. Someone stole four tires from a tractor-trailer parked at the Webasto Corp. between July 2-5, according to a sheriff's office report. The person responsible also cut the tire pressure electronic monitor lines and wrote profanity in the dirt next to the trailer.
