Best Buys Will Be Closed

What about ours? There are 10 Best Buy stores in Oakland County, but a list of closures isn't known yet.

Best Buy executives may be giving up on some of their big-box stores, according to a Wall St. Journal report this week. The Minnesota-based electronics chain said it would close 50 Best Buy stores. At this time, however, the list of stores to close isn't known. Oakland County outlets, in addition to the one in Rochester Hills, include stores in Bloomfield Hills, Farmington Hills, Southfield, Auburn Hills, , Madison Heights and Novi (two stores -- at West Oaks Shopping Center and on Haggerty Road). There also are two mobile specialty stores, at Great Lakes Crossing and Oakland Mall, according to the Best Buy store locator.
