Rochester is Passionate About Pizza; Here Are Your Favorites

If you're not hungry now, you will be soon.

Earlier this year we asked you to name your favorite restaurant and the resounding answer was Kruse and Muer. Looks like you enjoy their pizza, too. Kruse and Muer received the most "votes" (13) as the favorite hometown pizza of Rochester Patch readers.  But the competition was hot.  Tied for second place were Buddy's, Antoniou's Towne Square and Hungry Howie, each with 11 votes. Georgio's came in third with six mentions, and Crust and Dan Good Pizza tied for fourth with five votes each. Crust — the baked dough, not the restaurant — seems to make or break it when it comes to pizza, and Hungry Howie's flavored crust has a lot of fans. Nearly all of the restaurant's 11 voters raved about the flavored crust options. Tower Pizza, a landmark on…

We've reviewed eight pizzas this summer. Now it's your chance to tell your favorite and win a pizza gift card.

We've spent the summer taste-testing a variety of the pizza pies Rochester has to offer. It was a tough job but someone had to do it. I know which pizza was my favorite, but now I want to know which is yours. To freshen your memory, here's a list of pizzas I've reviewed: We know this list is just the tip of the iceberg. Maybe you love Zaa's, or Bootleg or the carry-out from Whole Foods? Tell us! Your favorite doesn't have to be on the list. Just let us know what pizza melts your cheese — er, I mean your heart. We want to know your favorite pizza place and why — and we're willing to reward you for this information. There's a $25 gift card to your favorite pizzeria if you're the lucky winner. To win, post a comment telling us your favorite …
