The Rochester Community Schools district encompasses almost 14,800 students enrolled in 22 schools across Rochester,More Rochester Hills and Oakland Township. Governed by a seven-member Board of Education, the district boasts a 93 percent graduation rate; 95 percent of graduates attend a post-secondary school.

The district includes 13 elementary schools, four middle schools, three high schools, one adult education school and one alternative high school. The district offers a pre-school and pre-K program, as well as before- and after-school care at the elementary and middle schools.

Superintendent Fred Clarke hosts occasional community coffee gatherings to meet and greet parents and community members.

Stoney Creek High School

Tucked at the end of a wooded driveway near off Tienken Road on the east side of Rochester Hills, Stoney Creek is theMore newest high school to teach students in the Rochester Community Schools district. Home of the Cougars, Stoney Creek  opened in 2003 and features a swimming pool, atheltic complex, theater and gymnasium among other amenities. The school's motto is this: "Stoney Creek is a student-centered, caring community with high expectations, successfully preparing students for the future."  Larry Goralski is the school's principal.
Rochester Conservatory of Music

Rochester Conservatory of Music is located on 3rd street just east of Main Street Alley. It is a private music school.More It has a faculty of over 30 teachers, providing musical instruction in piano, voice, strings, woodwinds, brass and guitar. RCM also holds  several festivals throughout the year and is very active in local and high school theater productions.
