In todays world you can kill somebody then do some time and get off. If this killer was executedRead More tomorrow with all the other killers I think this type of crime would go down. So would the prison population.

I think the Judge should have ordered the bailiff to smack her accross the mouth REALLY hard withRead More that huge flashlight they carry. Then had her collect her own teeth and escorted - or dragged - her from the court room.
CEOs at Michigan's publicly traded companies earned an average of $7 million annually, 171 times the salary paid to average workers and 455 times more than full-time minimum wage workers, an analysis of S&P 500 companies shows. (Patch file photo)
Robert April 17, 2014 at 04:08 pm
When are people going to figure out that what a person earns is based on the value derived of theirRead More services. Hence a CEO which drives up profitability, guided by firm metrics brings much more value than a minimum wage worker who is only performing a service or unskilled function. This is no different than how entertainers and athletes are paid based on the value they bring, i.e. revenue they create within their organization.

Doesn't a life in prison sentence inherently mean that she is going to die in prison? He didn't sayRead More he hopes she gets killed. This classy broad was laughing as the family of the deceased described the impact the murder had. He might have lost his cool, but I have no problem with what the judge said, and if she has no empathy at all then I too hope she dies in prison... preferably after serving out a long and lonely sentence.

Sounds like these federal 50 guys are getting their training and personal transaction skills fromRead More the IRS (Obama's Disgrace). An admonishment and the chance to pay for the product is definitely the way this should have been handled. Hey chief, report Monday for some retraining on common sense.

John B has to be a lib because he thinks backwards. If this guy intentionally refilled his sodas atRead More regular intervals, then fine, make him pay a reasonable penalty, which is perfectly justified if he did do something wrong. But, JB is defending a KGB-style operation, here. This is what the Bush and Obama (and quite possibly, Clinton) administrations got into motion. And, of course Obama is taking it to the max. Our entire government needs to be completely cleaned out, reduced in size and replenished with real people - not the Muppets!

Dale Murrish April 17, 2014 at 05:48 pm
Ron, maybe I was too quick to judge Jesse Jackson for his past several years of comments dividingRead More people. Or maybe he got an unfavorable headline from journalists who parsed his remarks. Perhaps he really has turned over a new leaf, Ron. What have you done lately to help rebuild America’s urban areas and unite people besides complain? Here’s some good news about Pontiac and a group of people from all ethnic backgrounds who worked hard last fall to help: http://troy.patch.com/groups/dale-murrishs-blog/p/turning-the-light-on-in-pontiac
Daffy Noodnicks April 17, 2014 at 10:54 pm
Dale: you are always too quick to judge. And point to your employer sponsored (how altruistic, didRead More it show well on your evaluation?) self aggrandization, while casting derision on people or things you know nothing about. You only seek to divide and validate your extremist ideologies, while behaving rudely toward people who may believe differently about something or other.
John David April 18, 2014 at 12:24 am
Daffy, Dale M, after these last couple of years of reading his bunk, has grown beyond tiresome.Read More You are right about his 5:48 pm comment. Who are any of us to ask another, what have you done to rebuild urban America, then pat ourselves on the back for participating in a company initiative? Dale M is a narcissist, who wraps himself in his religious, but self-righteous clothing. He will take umbrage, deny, deflect, do what Glenn or someone says "look, a squirrel", but he is rather hopeless. I feel some sympathy for him, while I'm not sure I should. I dont know if it's his personality or an outcome of his cancer. His views are ok to voice, but he doesn't have facts to back them up most of the time. And he is so unpleasant in how he addresses others, while denying what he does. He has made everything so personal and about himself, hundreds of times. It's particularly sad to me that he of all outspoken confessing Christians, during this week in particular for Christians, would bother accusing someone else of not helping the less fortunate, or should I say less blessed, then credit himself with good works that really should be credited only to GM. Since it is now past midnight, it is Good Friday. I know you are not Christian, but those of us who are should have other things on our minds today, and should be doing other things, than commenting here. I hope you have a holy Passover, those of us who are Christians have a holy Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter. And for those who just celebrate the secular Easter, hopefully it is with family and friends, good food, chocolate, and Peeps.
