Authentic, European fare. You've never tasted better bread or pastries. The raspberry mousse tarts are perfect - not too sweet, very light. And the Paczkis are delicious - they're baked, not fried!

Give Thanks Bakery has a long tradition of family, hand-made baking for centuries. The founder and owner, Gerald Matthes, founded the bakery 11 years ago, following in the footsteps of his great-great-grandfather, who founded his own successful bakery in Germany in the 1700's. The bakery serves up a variety of fresh-baked goods, made each day on the premises, to loyal customers and is proud to donate 10% at least of all profits to local non-profit organizations.

If you are looking for bread, the true, European-style, flavorful, beautifully textured bread, this is the place to come. You will not be disappointed. The crusty rolls are also fabulous.
The pastries, savory or sweet, are amazing. They are exquisite, delicious and not sickeningly sweet. You can even sit and enjoy coffee with your pastry. Don't miss their holiday specialties.

Very good bread, I like the "Rochester Rye" best, beautiful and tasty pastries, the almond croissants are to die for!
Very nice people and a homelike atmosphere.
