The Eisenhower Dance Center opened its doors in the summer of 1995. The Center is a non-profit organization and serves as a base for the nationally-touring professional dance company, Eisenhower Dance, whose mission includes community outreach and education programs. The Eisenhower Dance Center aims to foster the appreciation of dance as an art form by providing the highest quality instruction to students of any age. The Center sets itself apart from other dance schools by offering classes taught by former and current professional dancers, along with a staff of highly skilled, degreed instructors. With anatomically sound training and a focus on artistry rather than competition, the Center stands out as the premiere dance facility in the Detroit Metro area. The school’s carefully structured curriculum emphasizes the student’s creative and artistic development as well as technical proficiency. Individually planned classes focus on the distinctive needs of both professional and non-professional dancers. The school offers a positive, nurturing atmosphere appropriate for all levels and ages from preschool to adults.
Yearly classes for children and adults offered at the Eisenhower Dance Center include Contemporary, Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Creative Movement, Acro, student companies, and Pilates. All of our studios have sprung dance floors to reduce the risk of injury to our students. Both the recreational and professional-track dancer are welcome. www.EisenhowerDanceCenter.org EDC Blog: www.edcdance.wordpress.com
