Borden Park is a large outdoor athletic complex that offers four lighted softball and baseball fields, 12 soccer fields (including a World Cup field), three basketball courts, four tennis courts, two roller hockey rinks, a large playground, a measured fitness loop, picnic tables, restrooms, vending machines and a seven-station batting cage. The park also features a 30-acre natural conservation area. The softball, baseball and soccer fields can all be reserved over the phone; tennis courts, basketball courts and roller hockey rinks are first come, first serve when not in use by the Rochester Avon Recreation Authority. The large community park is bustling in the summer and especially during its annual Festival of the Hills, a Fourth of July celebration that includes live entertainment and a large fireworks display.
