City of Rochester
Tucked behind downtown along the Paint Creek Trail and near Rochester Municipal Park, the Rochester Municipal Building is the government hub for the city of Rochester, which includes about 12,000 residents living, working, shopping and playing on about 2,500 acres of land.
- The city is governed by an elected, seven-member City Council, which each November appoints a council member to serve as mayor for one year. City services are managed by a City Manager, who also is appointed by council members.
- The current mayor is Jeffrey Cuthbertson; the city manager is Jaymes Vettraino. The council meets at 7 p.m. the second and fourth Monday of each month.
City recreational services include five parks, the popular Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve and a network of two major walking/biking/jogging trails. Its downtown is full of locally owned shops and restaurants.
