Brooksie Way, Oktoberfest, Fall Classic Highlight Weekend Events

The weekend is upon us, and it's a busy one. Here is what you can do over the next few days in Rochester and Rochester Hills!

The weekend is upon us, and the Rochester area has plenty of great events planned. Here is a rundown:

1. 6th Annual Brooksie Way

The festival of races named in honor of Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson's late son, Brooks Stuart Patterson, steps off on Sunday morning. You can read our preview here

2. Rochester Mills Oktoberfest/Rochester Hills Lions Club Oktoberfest Carnival

This year's Oktoberfest is bigger and better, with the addition of the Rochester Hills Lions Club's long-running carnival to the existing festivities surrounding the popular pub and eatery. 3. Clinton River Fall Classic Bike Ride

The ninth annual Clinton River Trail Fall Classic event will be held on Saturday. The fundraiser aims to introduce participants to the exceptional natural beauty and amenities found along the Clinton River Trail (CRT). The CRT passes through five cities in the middle of Oakland County: Rochester, Rochester Hills, Auburn Hills, Pontiac and Sylvan Lake. Read more on Rochester Patch

4. Rochester Adams Homecoming 

Adams students will cheer on the Highlanders at 7 p.m. Friday for the team's homecoming game. Students will then enjoy the annual homecoming dance on Saturday. Send photos of your homecoming festivities to our photo blog on Patch!
