How Do You Build a House in a Week? Kensington Crew Knows

The "spring serve" project for the Kensington Orion campus is wrapping up Saturday afternoon when a house is revealed in Pontiac.

"We’re surrounded by under-resourced people who can really benefit from an act of caring and compassion."

That's the overriding mission of the "spring serve" project that the congregation of Kensington Orion has undertaken this week.

Last Saturday, a mass crew of volunteers broke ground on a new home in Pontiac. Today, at a picnic attended by hundreds, the home will be revealed to a family chosen by the congregation with help from Grace Centers of Hope.

Patch will be on the scene later today when the home is unveiled. Until then, we thank Kensington and Mike Woloson for these photos of the home's progress. Do you have your own photos of the project? Share them with Patch readers here.
