I'm reading Catherine the Great: portrait of a woman by Robert Massie AND #3 in the Game of Thrones fantasy series: A Storm of Swords. By the way, our library has a brochure called "Raise a Reader" that includes a list of "100 Books Every Child Should Experience" which is broken down into categories. They are: humorous stories, classics, animals stories, concepts, cumulative stories, me and my family, folk and fairy tales, imagination, and stories in rhyme.
