Rochester Hills Museum Takes Kids Back to the 1800s

Campers will be exploring the creek of the Taylor and Van Hossen family. Youth will experience life as if they lived in the 1800s.

The 16-acre museum is in Stoney Creek Village and was home to the Taylor and Van Hossen families in 1823.  The restored site features exhibits emphasizing the settlement, agriculture, industry and forward-thinking movement of the community.

Youth will get to visit the one-room schoolhouse , harvest fruits and vegetables, and see the grave site of the Taylor-Van Hossen family.
