How to Watch Rochester Hills Swimmer Vanderkaay in Olympics Today

He'll compete in the 400-meter freestyle, one of the first events.

Peter Vanderkaay, a 2002 graduate of , is poised to bring home one of Team USA's first medals of the Summer Olympics Games. 

Olympic Medalist (two gold, one bronze). This is his third consecutive trip to the summer Olympics.

Vanderkaay will compete in the 400-meter freestyle, one of the first events. 

Here's a schedule of the Vanderkaay Olympic day (all times are Eastern):

  • 5:47 a.m. Preliminary heats take place in London.
  • 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Prelims replayed on NBC.
  • 2:30 p.m. Finals take place in London.
  • 8 p.m.-midnight: Finals replayed on NBC. Also included in the first primetime coverage will be men's gymnastics and beach volleyball.

I always watch the Olympics but realized today just how much the Canadian network had spoiled me on balanced coverage. Don't know why the Windsor station is not carrying the Olympics but I miss them. Having to readjust to NBC's style and not happy. But will deal with anything to cheer on PVK.
