Vote Now: Rochester Athlete of Fall Season

Vote from a list of very deserving candidates on who should be named the Patch Athlete of the Season for the Rochester area.

There were a lot of great individual performances from high school athletes in the Rochester area this fall and we want to hear from our readers which one they thought was the best.

Here are the candidates: 

Lauren Reedy (senior, Rochester diving) – Reed brought home at the Division 1 state finals this season. The senior improved on her seventh place finish last year with a score of 430.40. She also recently signed a letter of intent to dive at Missouri.

Tony Annese (Senior, Rochester Adams football) – A dual threat at quarterback, the senior helped He also started in the defensive backfield for Adams. Annese scored a total of 12 touchdowns in the final three games and broke the all-time career rushing record at Adams. at quarterback and is committed to play at Central Michigan in the fall.

Mitch Robinson (senior, Avondale football) – With a young group of receivers, Robinson didn’t put up the impressive passing numbers he did last season, but still managed to throw for more than 1,200 yards, rush for more than 700 yards and score 17 touchdowns. for the third time at the position and was one of Avondale’s key defensive backs.

Nathan Chapman (senior, Avondale soccer) – Chapman led the team in scoring and was second in the team in assists. He had five mutli-goal games during the regular season and four games with at least one goal and an assist. The senior helped Avondale bring home i.

Gabby Thivierge (junior, Rochester Adams Cross Country) – Thivierge’s eighth place finish at the helped Adams finish sixth place as a team. The junior ran a team best 18:11.7 at the Michigan International Speedway.

Gabby Yurik (senior, Stoney Creek golf) – Yurik won the individual championship in Division 1 at the Meadows Golf Course on the campus of Grand Valley State University. She shot scored of 78 and 75 for a total of 153. Her score on the second day was the best by six strokes. She won the title by four strokes over Sara White from East Kentwood. In 11 tournaments this season, she was a medalist seven times.
