Rochester Player Gets Ready for Spartans' New Season

Jordan Sanders will be on the roster when Michigan State opens its 2012 season tonight against Boise State.

When the Spartan football team gathers on their sideline for the season-opening kickoff in tonight's game against Boise State, you'll want to look for a local gridiron hero.

Whether you are in the stands or watching on TV, keep an eye out for #58. That's Jordan Sanders, the 6'-1" sophomore defensive tackle from Rochester. Sanders, the son of Charlie and Georgianna Sanders, is a third-year player having red-shirted his freshman season. He played high school football at Rochester Adams.

He played in seven games during the 2011 season and was a first-time letter winner, according to the MSU media guide.
