The girls lacrosse team completed its best season ever by defeating Farmington 11-8 on Monday night to claim the championship in the Oakland Activities Association White Division.
Coach Dave Hamel had this to say about the team:
"While the team was led by a talented group of 12 seniors, freshman Jessica Leininger was the top scorer of the season with 47 goals, followed by senior Kylie Gray's 38 goals.
"Overall, this balanced team had 16 players who scored, and seven with at least 16 goals. The defense was led by senior goalie Aly Rosenau, who had one of the best seasons of any goalie in the state, compiling 189 saves and a 61 percent save percentage."
The Falcons finished 13-3 overall and 6-0 in the OAA White.
