Rochester Hills' Keselowski No Shoo-In for Sprint Cup Title Race

While Brad Keselowski holds the title as defending NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion, he isn't necessarily guaranteed a spot in the championship race, USA Today reports.

According to the report, Keselowski, a Rochester Hills native, currently sits in 11th place in points this season with 24 races in the books with just two races—at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Richmond International Raceway—remaining to bump the Rochester Hills native into the top ten to guarantee a spot in the title race.

Rant Sports reports Keselowski will need to find consistency in the final two races to at least make it into the top 10 in points.

He currently sits just four points behind teammate Joey Logano for the last guaranteed title race spot, USA Today reported.

"We've got two races left," Keselowski told USA Today. "We've tested at the next two tracks and we're gonna be very competitive. I feel like this is going to come down to the last lap at Richmond and I'm ready for that battle."
