Rochester Diver Earns Championship Title at State Finals

Rochester High's Lauren Reedy and other swimmers from Stoney Creek High School competed in the Division 1 Swim & Dive Championships this weekend.

Rochester High School senior Lauren Reedy, who at Eastern Michigan University, earned first place in diving Saturday at the 2011 MHSAA Girls Division 1 Swim & Dive Championships.

Reedy earned a final score of 458.00, shattering last year's championship-winning score of 430.40 earned by Saline's Taylor Ford, and recently signed with Missouri.

Several other seniors also competed in the state finals, including Hannah Knapp, Carson Burt, Ariel Niederhauser and Rachel Watton.

Overall, Rochester High finished 23rd out of 37 while Stoney Creek placed 25th out of 37 teams.
