Highlanders Fall in Physical Game Against Harrison

Adams loses a hard-hitting game against an undefeated Harrison Hawks team.

The Adams Highlanders need to win their final two games to make the playoffs after a tough 48-21 loss to the Farmington Hills Harrison Hawks at home.

The Highlanders were tied with the Hawks 14-14 early in the second quarter before turnovers became a factor.

"The early part of the second quarter we didn't do a good job, we gave up two possesions and didn't get stops, and that's how it got away from us," Adams head coach Tony Patritto said.

Harrison is now 7-0.

The Highlander offense was fueled by some big plays, including a 56-yard touchdown run by David Jagow to put Adams on the scoreboard.

Jack Twitty and Alex Borglin caught some clutch passes from Cory Clemons, who was filling in for Tony Annese as starting quarterback, for the Highlanders second and third touchdown drives.

Adams' defense made some big stops, but as the game went on the Hawks running game was too quick to contain.

"We can't make mistakes against a team like this," Patritto said.
