OU in National Spotlight Again: ESPN to Televise Tennessee Basketball Team Looking for Revenge

The Golden Grizzlies will host the Volunteers at 9 p.m. Monday; tickets are still available.

It was almost a year ago that on the road against nationally ranked University of Tennessee.

Tonight, the Volunteers are coming to the O'Rena.

Tickets are still available for the 9 p.m. game, which will be nationally televised on ESPNU; it's the first time that ESPN has been on campus to televise a game, according to a news release from the OU Athletics Department.

The Golden Grizzlies are coming off a three-game winning streak overall and an eight-game home-court winning streak. In fact, the team is 40-2 for its past 42 home games inside the O'Rena.

Students can purchase tickets for $20, and all other tickets are priced at $25. Fans can purchase tickets online here. The first 500 fans inside the doors will receive a limited edition Oakland basketball T-shirt.

At halftime, former OU basketball standout Keith Benson's No. 34 jersey will be retired. Benson became the first OU player to be drafted in the National Basketball Assocation when in the 2011 NBA Draft.

This is the second time in a month OU will be part of a national television broadcast; the National GOP Debate earlier this month put all political eyes on the campus.
