Rochester Downtown December Dash (3D-5K)

Join The SPF as we take on Downtown Rochester in it's inaugural Downtown December Dash (formerly known as the Running of the Elves)! In conjunction with the Hometown Christmas Parade, this spirited 5K-loop will start near the Rochester Mills building and wind through the Paint Creek Trail and the trails of the park downtown.

T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 300 registered runners! Same-day registration begins at 8:00 AM on the day of the race; packet pick-up will be available Dec. 1st & 2nd (Wed. & Thurs.) at the Rochester Lifetime from 6-8 PM. Our race also supports and thanks over 100 businesses located in Downtown Rochester -- thank you for choosing Rochester! Lastly, the Rochester 3D-5K is a community effort; we've come together and donated time and resources to support a local charity that does wonders for our citizens: Paint A Miracle.

Paint A Miracle is an amazing nonprofit art studio located in downtown Rochester for those with disabilities, although the term "disability" can easily be argued after seeing their work. At Paint A Miracle, artists work in a variety of mediums, including painting and drawing, ceramics and fiber arts. Their work is exhibited and sold in the Paint A Miracle gallery and throughout the community. Paint A Miracle is a place of independence, artistic freedom and inspiration - a place where one can enjoy the creative process amongst friends. (www.paintamiracle.org)

Not only will this race be professionally measured, chipped and timed, but it has also been sponsored by the Governor's Council on Fitness — that's right: a possible ticket to the Mackinac Bridge Run!

Also, thanks to our generous partners, $24 of your $25 registration goes directly to Paint A Miracle! This event has the potential to provide a quarter of Paint A Miracle's annual funding -- join us today!!!!
