Spectators Cheer for Brooksie Way Runners Along Race Route

Were you watching and cheering along the Brooksie Way Half Marathon route? If so, you may find yourself in this photo gallery!

For three hours on Sunday morning, northern Rochester Hills transformed into a race course as 4,500 runners and walkers braved the trails and hills of the Brooksie Way.

And along with the runners were hundreds of well wishers scattered along the 13.1-mile race route. Crowds included residents along the route, students, church groups, Rochester Lions Club members and other organizations. Some spectators held up signs, many cheered, and a few, including the Adams High School Marching Band, even serenaded runners with live music.

It was the fifth year for Oakland County's scenic half marathon and 5K event.
