Crosstown Rivalry: Adams Girls' Lacrosse Team Falls to the Falcons

It is the second time Rochester High School has beaten Adams High School this season.

The Rochester Falcons girls' lacrosse team showed its 3-1 division record  by capturing a 16-8 win against the Adams Highlanders.

The girls fought valiantly on both ends of the turf, but in the end, the Falcons prevailed for the second time this season against their crosstown rival.

MVP:  Katie Krako was awarded the game ball by her coach after the game for having one goal and two assists.

The Quote: "I think our biggest thing today was how smart we played offensively," Rochester head coach Dave Hamel said.

"We've really picked up our intensity the past four games because we've been having practices outside of the normal school schedule," Adams head coach Ashley Howald said.

"I wouldn't measure our success this year by wins and losses, but about how much we are improving throughout the season," she added.

Midfield Talk: The Adams girls' lacrosse team after splitting off from the United team with Stoney Creek, whom they will play in the first round of the playoffs.

The Highlanders lost to Stoney Creek on Thursday night by a three-goal deficit compared to a nine-goal loss against the Cougars earlier this season.

Who's Next? Rochester (6-3) plays at Bloomfield Hills Andover against the United team Monday at 7 p.m. Adams also plays at Farmington on Monday at 7 p.m.
