Rochester School Board Will Consider Revision of Employment Policies

The board meets at 7 tonight at the school administration building.

Rochester Board of Education members will consider on Monday night a revision of the district's school employment policy.*

Two policies — one for professional staff and one for support staff — are up for first readings during the board's 7 p.m. Monday meeting.

The meeting at the School Administration Building is open to the public; a full agenda and copies of the policies can be downloaded here.

Also on the Monday night agenda:

  • Academic spotlight on Adams High School's freshman mentoring program.
  • First reading on a policy for drug-free zones.
  • First reading on a policy for weapons-free zones.
  • A study session on 21st Century Learning.

Clarification: An earlier version of the story indicated the board would consider whether principals could supervise in-laws; that is not the case. Patch regrets the error.
