School Board to Select Superintendent Semi-Finalists Tonight

The meeting is open to the public.

Rochester Board of Education members tonight will review a pool of superintendent candidates and select up to six semi-finalists who will interview for the job next month.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Harrison Room of the School Administration Meeting. It is open to the public.

School Exec Connect is the search firm helping Rochester find a permanent superintendent. Fred Clarke resigned in September, and Tresa Zumsteg has been filling in since then in an interim role.

According to a timeline for the superintendent search process, the semi-finalists will be interviewed publicly Jan. 9 and 10; finalists will then be interviewed Jan. 22 and 23; a new superintendent will be announced Jan. 24. 

Also on the board's Monday night agenda, the board will consider a resolution in support of public education. Revisions to several district policies will also be considered.
