Adams and Stoney's AdamBots Head to World Champ Robotics Event

They'll compete in St. Louis next weekend.

The AdamBots, a Robotics team that includes students from Adams and Stoney Creek high schools, is headed to a world championship competition next weekend. 

The team finished as a finalist at the Michigan State FIRST Robotics Championship at Eastern Michigan University last weekend; they finished 14th out of 190 teams.

The team will next compete in World Championship event at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, Missouri on April 26-28.

FIRST is a national, volunteer-run organization that inspires students to become involved in technology through robotics competitions in which teams build robots in six weeks from a common kit of parts. The robots compete against one another performing various tasks.

On Saturday, the team wore their pink Relay for Life t-shirts as part of their fundraising and outreach program. The team will walk in the in June.
