Trees & Shrubs Still Available from ReLeaf Michigan 23rd Annual Tree & Shrub Fundraiser!

ReLeaf Michigan will have extra trees at four area locations for those who missed the pre-order deadline. They're healthy and definitely priced right. So let's plant some trees!

If the forecasts are right, the weather should continue to improve over the next week, and it will finally feel like spring.  It is a great time to plant, and, fortunately, there is still time to purchase hardy, bare-root trees and shrubs at a substantial savings through the 23rd ReLeaf Michigan Annual Tree and Shrub Fundraiser.  Proceeds from the sale support non-profit ReLeaf Michigan’s ongoing tree planting and educational programs.

The trees available are 4 – 6 feet in height (they are not seedlings) and include native and “specialty” trees, among others, that are specifically chosen for Michigan’s various planting zones.  The shrubs are 1 - 2 feet in height, and the evergreens (2 feet tall) are containerized.  All trees and shrubs are able to prosper in both rural and urban areas.

ReLeaf Michigan’s annual tree and shrub sale helps to reverse Michigan’s loss of tens of thousands of trees due to the emerald ash borer, storms, and old age.  The tree sale is a fundraiser that encourages the public to plant trees to improve the overall tree canopy of their community, with the environmental benefits that brings, while providing much-needed revenue to support ReLeaf Michigan’s ongoing tree planting and educational programs.
