Tuesday Primary is Approaching in Rochester Hills

There are 13 candidates for four positions on the ballot in our city.

The Walton Road construction project is wrapping up, the stores are filling with school supplies, and the primary election is upon us.

On Tuesday, Rochester Hills voters will head to the polls to choose their mayoral and City Council candidates. Winners in the primary will advance to the general election Nov. 8.

Starting today, Rochester Patch will provide you with the information you will need to make informed choices when you go to the polls. By week's end, you'll have a profile of all 13 candidates. We'll also tell you where to vote (for some residents, the polling places have changed), when to vote and how to find the election results.

We recently profiled candidates , and . They are seeking election to the District 2 City Council seat; two of the three candidates will advance to the general election ballot.

In addition, six residents are vying for two at-large City Council seats. They are Peter Adair, Howard Elandt, Kathleen Fitzgerald, Dee Hilbert, Mark Tisdel and incumbent Michael Webber. The four candidates with the most votes will advance to the general election ballot.

Mayor Bryan Barnett is also working to retain his leadership position in the city. He is being challenged by candidates Erik Ambrozaitis, Paul Miller and Luke Wylie.
