Poll: What Color Should the Brooksie Way T-Shirts Be?

Orange? Black? Pink? Patch readers can help the race committee decide.

We told you when the race is: Sept. 30.

And you already know where it is: on the hills and trails around Rochester and Rochester Hills.

But what color will the runners and walkers for the be wearing?

That's one question that has yet to be answered by race leaders, and they are looking to Patch readers for some guidance.

Last year, Brooksie Way shirts were red. In 2010 they were bright yellow and in the two years before that, they were white.

This year, race co-chairman Paul Coughlin said the shirt color has been narrowed down to three choices: black, a hot pink color called "brite" and a flashy orange.

We asked Coughlin and race leaders if we could poll Patch readers to help guide their decision. While they said , the race's founder, ultimately would have the final say, they agreed a little advice wouldn't hurt.

So, Patch readers, tell the Brooksie Way: Which color would you like to wear while you run?

Blue, pink or turquoise are the colors associated with a 5th anniversary so I would go that route.

Because of the darker colors to choose from,(BLACK REALLY?) Brooksie should make sure that REFLECTIVE substance is used on the logo so runners training after sunset can be seen by drivers, and NOT become a statistic.

I think pink for the women with back logos and black for the guys with pink logos If not, I would go with orange--can't miss them then, they would show up like all the barrels and cones we are use to--and safety is always a concern-
