Newly Elected Leaders Say Thanks, Confirm Campaign Promises

Mayor and members of City Council are inaugurated in Rochester Hills.

Winners of the city election in Rochester Hills took their oaths of office and confirmed their pledges to serve their city in a ceremony Thursday night.

The event at  featured a brass ensemble from and a flag ceremony led by the Boy Scouts from Troop No. 356. Newly elected City Council Member Mark Tisdel performed the Star Spangled Banner.

Tisdel, along with Adam Kochenderfer, Michael Webber and Greg Hooper, were sworn in as Rochester Hills City Council members.

Mayor Bryan Barnett was also sworn in for another four-year term.

A crowd of about 200 city employees, as well as friends and family members of the elected officials, attended the ceremony.
