Millage Rate and Budget on the Agenda in Rochester Hills

There are public hearings planned for both tonight.

Public hearings on the proposed 2012 millage rate and the proposed 2012 budget are on the Rochester Hills City Council agenda tonight.

City Council meets at 7 p.m. at the .

As proposed, the city's tax rate would remain 9.7060. If approved, this would mark the 13th consecutive year that the millage rate has not increased without a vote of the residents.

Expenditures in 2012 would be $104 million, which would represent a 2.5 percent decrease from 2011; revenues are projected to be $102 million, a 0.4 percent reduction from 2011.
