Hooper Will Serve Another Term as Rochester Hills Council President

Michael Webber was elected to vice-president position.

Greg Hooper will serve another year as president of the Rochester Hills City Council after being re-elected to the spot by his colleagues Monday night.

Councilmember Nathan Klomp nominated Hooper. Councilmember Ravi Yalamanchi nominated James Rosen. Hooper won after a 5-2 roll-call vote.

"It's my pleasure to serve again for one more year," Hooper said.

Councilmember Michael Webber was elected to the vice president position; the vote was unanimous. He replaces Vern Pixley, who did not seek re-election.

"I'm happy to serve; thanks for the support, everyone," Webber said.

Webber and Hooper were re-elected to four more years on City Council in November.

The president and vice-presisdent are elected by City Council each year.
