Woman Reports Wallet Stolen at Rochester Hills Store

An Oakland Township Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched Oct. 5 to the Salvation Army store at 823 E. Auburn Road for a report of a stolen wallet, according to an incident report.

A customer at the store told the deputy she came to the store that afternoon to shop and placed her purse in the front of her shopping cart, the report indicated. She told the deputy her wallet was in her purse and after she turned away from her purse to look at some items for sale, she noticed her wallet was missing from her purse.

The woman told the deputy she contacted the store manager and checked the store, but was unable to locate her wallet. The woman told the deputy her wallet contained her driver’s license and several credit and debit cards. The incident was not captured on surveillance video, and the deputy advised the woman to cancel her credit cards.
