Woman Bit Twice By Dog During Afternoon Run

Here's a roundup of news reported by the Oakland County Sheriff's Office and the Rochester Police Department.

A woman running west on Walton Boulevard last Monday afternoon told she was bit twice on the back of the leg by a black and brown dog.

The bites broke the woman's skin. The incident happened west of Foxboro, according to a sheriff's report. The woman told deputies she followed the dog to its owner's home on Foxboro where the owner was "verbally abusive" to her. The dog, a lab-beagle mix, was not licensed in the city of Rochester Hills, and deputies turned the case over to the Oakland County Animal Control, the report stated.

According to a sheriff's department report, the woman blew a .145 on a blood-alcohol test before her 12:45 a.m. arrest.

My friend was the woman bit by the dog and the Oakland County Sheriff department told her that because of budget cuts, Animal Control wouldn't be dong anything... This happened at the edge of Whole Foods parking lot, so I highly suggest parents watch their little ones while getting in and out of their cars. This dog latched onto my friend, wouldn't let go, and now she has some extensive cuts and bruises. :(
