Woman Accused of Throwing Tablet Computer at Boyfriend

Woman arrested on felonious assault charge.

Oakland County Sheriff deputies were dispatched early Wednesday to a compalint of family trouble in the 1800 block of Village Green in Rochester Hills, according to department officials. The caller told a dispatcher that she wanted the deputies' help removing her intoxicated live-in boyfriend from the home. Prior to answering any more questions with the dispatcher, the caller hung up the phone, the department indicated.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they met and spoke to the caller and her boyfriend, both 37 years old, the department indicated. The woman told police her boyfriend had returned from a night out at a bar and she wanted him removed form their home, officials said.

Deputies determined that prior to calling 911, the woman had assaulted the boyfriend over his posts she found on Facebook to an ex-girlfriend. The boyfriend was assaulted by his girlfriend when she threw her Samsung tablet computer at the boyfriend, striking him in the face and injuring and blackening his eye, officials said. The woman was placed under arrest on a charge of felonious assault and was transported to the Oakland County Jail to be housed.
