Girl vs. girl assault

A 16-year-old Rochester girl reported being assaulted by another 16-year-old girl on Tuesday on the sidewalk along North Alice Street.

According to a Rochester Police report, the girl said she was "struck in the face and pulled to the ground and struck several more times." She told police she has had altercations with the other girl in the past and tries to avoid her. Police are  investigating.

Teenager drinking and driving

An 18-year-old Shelby Township boy was arrested for driving while intoxicated Sunday night. Rochester Police officers were conducting a routine radar check in the parking lot of the Rochester Community Schools Administration Building when they detected the boy driving over the speed limit.

When they pulled him over, they discovered he had been drinking. He was taken to the police station.

Lights out for 18-year-old

An 18-year-old Rochester Hills girl was discovered by a newspaper delivery person slumped over the steering wheel of a car parked on North Alice Street on Sunday.

Rochester Police woke her and learned she had left a house party the night before. She was found in possession of marijuana and also under the influence of alcohol, according to the police report. She was arrested and taken to the Rochester police station.
