Sheriff's Officials: Man Sexually Assaulted Woman in Walmart Parking Lot

This information was provided by the Oakland County Sheriff's Office. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Oakland County Sheriff's officials are investigating an incident Sunday where an 18-year-old Rochester Hills woman was reportedly sexually assaulted by a 21-year-old Roseville man.

According to Sheriff's officials, the woman was reportedly on a date with a man she had met online, when the two stopped at the Huron Liquor Store at Woodward and M-59 in Pontiac. It was then, Sheriff's officials say, that the man attempted to force himself on the woman. When the woman refused his advances, the man reportedly choked her, leaving bruises around her neck.

The man then drove to the parking lot of the Walmart at M-59 and Adams in Rochester Hills, where she was reportedly forced into the back seat and sexually assaulted.

The woman was taken to a local hospital for examination, while the man has been identified. The investigation is ongoing.
