Roseville Man Charged in Multi-Vehicle Crash that Killed 20-Year-Old

Stephen Frank Fischer, 65, of Roseville faces two felony charges of reckless driving.

A 65-year-old Roseville man turned himself into Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday in connection with multi-vehicle crash in Rochester Hills  that claimed the life of a 20-year-old Troy woman last October.

Stephen Frank Fischer was arraigned Wednesday in 52-3 District Court on charges of reckless driving causing death, a felony with a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison, and reckless driving causing serious impairment of a body function, a 5-year felony, according to a news release.

Hailey Marie Brouillet died at the McLaren-Oakland Hospital a few hours after a six-car pileup on Rochester Road at 12:41 p.m. on Oct. 23, 2013. Police think Fischer caused the accident, in which at least one vehicle rolled over.
