Rochester Hills Man Likely Dead for Several Days, Investigators Say

Sheriff's deputies conducting a welfare check in Rochester Hills seized guns and marijuana plants from a home where they also discovered the body of a 63-year-old man, who likely died of natural causes.

Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies seized six guns and about 15 marijuana plants Monday night after they were asked to do a welfare check at a home in the 600 block of Ten Point Drive in Rochester Hills, where they also found the body of a 63-year-old man they think had been dead for several days.

Deputies saw the man lying motionless inside his bedroom from an outside window, The Oakland Press reports. Newspapers and uncollected mail outside the home, authorities said. Investigators said there were no signs of foul play.

The seized marijuana plants were about three-feet tall, according to the report.
