This man did so much for my family over the years and was such a wonderful spirit. He had a lot of tragedy in his life but tried to stay positive through the hard times. He may have had guns and may have had pot, but that does NOT define the person he was and I hate to see him portrayed this way!! Especially when he is no longer around to explain himself. What a horrible way to write this story!! I want any who read this to know that this guy would give the shirt off his back for others and he did not have many who would do the same for him, unfortunately. RIP.

I have to say I wanted to read this story to learn where in Rochester Hills did the Sheriff find a dead man along with his guns and some pot. After reading these comments from his neighbors and friends, it just shows you that articles can paint a different picture than what was the truth about a person or incident. This man sounds like a great guy. May he RIP.

Dano, it is a relief to have even just ONE person understand mine and my fathers intent here. I thank you for that! He was a great guy :)

This man was a good man, it pains me to see this non-story-story. He was one of the most kind, funny, generous and interesting men I have ever known. He will be greatly missed. RIP.

I hate these stories but its good to know that there are those who will speak and really tell the story. I don't blame the Patch, it looks like Beth is the only one posting all the stories on all the sites, no easy task. I'm sorry you lost your friend Joe.
